Set in beautiful parkland, Downfield is recognised as one of the finest inland courses in the United Kingdom. It has played host to many events over its long history. The course was also Final Qualifying venue for the Open Championship at Carnoustie in 1999, with Paul Lawrie qualifying on his way to becoming Open Champion!
