The 27 holes of the Deauville St-Gatien Golf Course offer a sweet mix of calm and space.
On the 9-holes of « La Vallée », you dive towards the estuary of the river Seine to abandon yourself in the Barneville forest and its smell of wood that follows you from hole to hole.
These 9 holes require for the golfers accuracy and a strong technical knowledge to handle heights difference, forest, obstacles and natural water. The path through holes 2,3 and 4, that our golfers call the “Amen Corner” in reference to the Augusta National, remains the most difficult part to play.
On the course of « La Bergerie », you walk through flowered rough and large fir-trees. The design is different than the curves of “La Vallée” and looks more classic, but isn’t less technical. Each golf stroke requires accuracy, length and after each Drive comes a creative golf stroke.
Like a good wine, the golf course of « La Chapelle » only becomes better through time. Its design is probably the more complex of all 3 courses and requires a variety of strokes that make golf so charming. Holes 1,2,3 from which you can see horses, caws and cereal fields, will remind you that you are in Normandy. But you will need all your focus to avoid fir trees, ponds and bunkers and reach the well guarded Greens.
