Lykia Links Golf Antalya offers the traditions of Scottish links golf on the Turkish Mediterranean.
Designer Perry Dye has introduced pot-bunkers and railway sleepers, along with typical links grass in the rough and dunes. The prevailing wind is of course a key ingredient.
Lykia Links is also reminiscent of the Ocean Course at Kiawah, designed by Perry’s father, Pete, with waste areas cut into the fairways to add definition.
The four holes that run alongside the eastern Mediterranean – 13, 14, 15 and 16 – are dramatically laid out amongst the dunes, while the 18th finishes, stadium style, with a huge waste area on the right, mounds on the left and a turtle-back green which golfers will need to approach with caution.
All the holes are framed by spectacular views, either across the golden beaches to the Mediterranean, or inland towards the nearby mountain peaks.
