Moray Old Course is a hidden gem considered to be one of the finest links in Scotland. The course was designed by Old Tom Morris with deep revetted bunkers, undulating, gorse-lined fairways and smooth, fast greens.
The holes wind along the shoreline at varying angles and there are some great views, including of Covesea Lighthouse on the 11th. With seven par fours over 400 yards it is a tough test but fair with skilful shotmaking and good course management rewarded.
The course is close to RAF Lossiemouth so watch out for low flying jets!
Six miles north of Elgin on the A96. |
