Perranporth is a challenging 18-hole championship links course designed in 1927 by five times Open Champion James Braid . Even after 75 years the original layout has not been changed, a real tribute to a good design.
This seaside course has an advantage over many other courses in that there are magnificent views of the North Cornwall coastline overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Even if one is playing indifferent golf, enjoyment of the game can be maintained by the beautiful scenery and bracing sea air. One should pause for a few moments on the 5th & 14th tees, where the setting and views are as fine as anywhere in the world.
Perranporth is a seaside links course overlooking the town of Perranporth and the beach, Cornwall. Located 8 miles from Newquay. |
