St Mellion
Par: 72 Length: 6651 yards Course designer: Jack Nicklaus
|
Officially opened in the July of 1988, the Nicklaus golf course at St Mellion is regarded as one of the finest in Europe.
Jack's signature is all over the course - high tees with good views of the fairways, water hazards and the requirement to place the ball in the right position in order to score well. Spectator banks line many holes to ensure good viewing and each hole sets its own unique test, with character and beauty, sand and lots of water! Not one of them is mediocre - each will test the best.
St Mellion can be reached from the M5/A38 travelling south west to Plymouth and continuing on the A38 to Saltash. The village of St Mellion is on the A388 northbound in the direction of Callington and Launceston. |
