Trevose
Par: 71 Length: 6608 yards Course designer: Harry Colt

The Tralee Championship course was laid out by Harry Colt - the same man responsible for amongst others, Muirfield, Lytham St Annes, Wentworth and Sunningdale!
The wind at Trevose can often play a decisive role and prevent low scoring (no one, at least at time of writing, has bettered 66). There are many well positioned bunkers and a stream meanders through much of the Course.
From London:
Take the M4 to Bristol, M5 to Exeter, and on to the A30 bypassing Okehampton, Launceston and Bodmin. After bypassing Bodmin continue on the A30 (signposted Newquay) for about 3 1/2 miles to a right turn signposted RAF St Mawgan. After another 3 1/2 miles, at a roundabout, exit right to Wadebridge on the A39. At the next roundabout turn left to Padstow on the B3274. After 3 miles on this road turn left to St Merryn which is signposted. Continue for a further 2 miles to St Merryn crossroads. Turn left and after about 600 yards turn right to Trevose and Constantine Bay. It is then 1 mile and when you come to one of the finest views in the UK you have found us. |
