Tour Details
The England throu’ Wales Tour takes in courses that play host to Opens, Ryder Cups and premier European Tour events.
Starting at Royal Lytham, your group will stay at the club’s own Dormey House, complete with dinner, bed and breakfast, and 18 holes on the Championship course graced famously by Seve Ballesteros with his “car park” victory in 1979.
From there it’s only a short distance to two more great Open venues – Royal Birkdale, where Padraig Harrington triumphed in 2008, and Royal Liverpool (Hoylake), where Tiger emotionally clinched victory in 2006.
We then journey into Wales for a stop at Royal St David’s, a course described by former Ryder Cup captain Bernard Gallacher as one of the finest in the world.
Next stop is the stunning Celtic Manor resort and a round on its 2010 course, where the greatest players from Europe and the US are set to battle it out in the Ryder Cup. The Welsh leg of the tour is concluded with a visit to Royal Portcawl, a previous host to the Walker Cup, Curtis Cup and Ladies British Open.
Finally we return to England for a round on the fabulous Wentworth, home to the European Tour flagship PGA Championship and a visit to Sunningdale – British Senior Open venue in 2009 won by Fred Funk.
