Kenmare
Par: 69
Length: 6003 yards
|
Kenmare Golf Club was founded in 1903, and was extended to 18 holes in 1993. Whilst the course can be very exacting for a good player, it is never unfair to the weak. The early holes stretch along the picturesque Roughty river estuary, while the remaining holes provide panoramic views of Kenmare Bay and the Roughty Valley.
The course is just a two-minute walk from Kenmare town with its many fine hotels, guesthouses and restaurants.
This venerable old golf course cannot be omitted from a golfer's itinerary.

Ring of Kerry
Par: 72
Length: 6416 yards
Course designer: Eddie Hackett
|
"I have played most of the major championship courses in the world and none betters the Ring of Kerry" - Philip Walton, former Ryder Cup player
The Ring of Kerry is a spectacular golfing challenge with panoramic views across Kenmare Bay and Kerry mountains. It has been voted 2nd in the “Ten of the best views in British Isles golf”.
It is by definition a parkland course but contains many characteristics of links golf with firm turf and rolling fairways often lined with gorse.
|
Waterville
Par: 72
Length: 7184 yards
Course designer: Eddie Hackett, John A. Mulcahy
|
Waterville Golf Club was founded in 1889 and is still one of the longest Championship courses in Europe off the back tees, some (tees) of which measure up to 175 yards! The classic course is surrounded scenically by the Atlantic Ocean and Kerry Mountains.
An indication of the quality of this course is that Tiger Woods and friends usually come here to practice before the British Open each year!

Killarney - Killeen
Par: 72
Length: 6474 yards
Course designer: Dr. Billy O'Sullivan, Eddie Hackett
Venue: Irish Open
|
The flagship of the three courses at Killarney Golf Club, Killeen is firmly established as a traditional inland masterpiece, surrounded by the lakes of Killarney and some of Ireland's finest scenery.
The course is challenging to the best golfers with tight, tree-lined fairways, water featuring on nearly every hole and fast greens. At the Irish Open in 1991 winner Nick Faldo was one of only three players to finish under par.
