With 700 years of history surrounding this wonderful residence, every visit to Ashford Castle is a memorable experience.
In addition to its own nine-hole golf course, which is maintained in pristine condition, the Ashford Estate offers its guests a host of other outdoor and indoor pursuits such as lake cruises, falconry, tennis, clay pigeon shooting and snooker.
Every one of the elegant bedrooms has an individual charm, with many retaining their original features such as four-poster beds.
There’s a luxurious spa with a range of beauty treatment options, while chef Stefan Matz has developed four unique dining experiences for the George V, Connaught, Drawing Room and Cullens restaurants.
A further highlight of the Castle is a tour of the George V Gallery which documents the historic visit in 1905 of the Prince of Wales, later King George V of England. The prince was so enthralled with Ashford Castle that he extended his stay from 2 days to 1 month.
