Capdepera Castle (7 km)

The Capdepera Castle is a strategic fortress from the 14th century built on the highest point of the hill of Capdepera, with privileged views of the inland region, the northeast coastline of Mallorca, and the Menorca Channel.

Sanctuary of Sant Salvador

Still a popular place of pilgrimage, the Sanctuary of Sant Salvador is located at the highest point of the southern part of the Chain of Llevant. Visit the church and the side chapel off the gatehouse, and enjoy the breathtaking views from the terrace.

The Roman Town of Pol·lèntia (42km)

Visit the remains of this ancient strategic Roman city, located in the coastal town of Alcúdia. Walk from La Portella, the residential area containing the remains of three houses, or domus, to the forum, and finally to the theater.

The Caves of Artà (3km)

Discover a unique natural formation with spectacular surroundings (the main entrance is at the seafront) and inner chambers up to 25 meters high with impressive stalactite formations. It was in these caves that Jules Verne found his inspiration for the novel, Journey to the Centre of the Earth.

Horse Riding (25km)

Hyatt Regency Mallorca offers, in collaboration with several equestrian companies from the area, wonderful horse rides along the north coast of the island. Canyamel

The Canyamel Golf Course, located in the east of Mallorca, is a traditional course with hard-running fairways lined with palm, fig, almond, pine, olive and carob trees. The terrain is mostly flat, making for a relaxing and enjoyable game for players of all levels.

Capdepera

Par: 72 Length: 6045m Course designer: Dan Maples

Located on the east of Mallorca, Capdepera is set within a valley offering a reasonably flat layout, with a good chance to take out your driver and take on the course. The course is a traditional design, with the first nine quite open and water coming into play. The second nine is enclosed by pine trees, with elevation changes. Simply walking the course is a pleasure with its idyllic setting in a valley surrounded by mountains and with a beautiful view of the Med. The 15th hole was voted the most exceptional hole on the island by Mallorca Magazine in 2004, with a 50-metre drop to the fairway, and a canyon in between!

Pula Golf

Par: 71 Length: 5393m Course designer: Jose Maria Olazabal Venue: Mallorca (Iberdrola) Open

The golf course at Pula is a challenge of hard firm fairways and green, elevation changes, and tightly located greens. Water also comes into play from several tee-shots to increase the demands on shot making. Pula is located on the east of the island, deep in Mallorca countryside, 40 minutes drive from Palma. Darren Clarke won here on the European Tour from course designer Jose Maria Olazabal in second place in 2011, en route to his famous Open triumph at St Georges.

Son Servera Golf

Son Servera is a traditional members golf club on Mallorca located below a range of pine hills with glorious views over the bay of Cala Millor. Son Servera is, for the greatest part, a gently undulating parkland course with generous fairways and rough kept to a length where finding the off line shot does not cause too many difficulties. The errant shot is much more likely to be punished by the intervention of one of the many evergreen oak, pine, olive, carob and palm trees that dot the course blocking the way to the pin. Holes 3 to 7 are undoubtedly different as narrow tree lined fairways venture into the hills and twist between the lakes and pines making this stretch the toughest test on the course. The greens are subtly undulating and water features on 6 holes. There is, however, always a range of shots on offer providing realistic options for both accomplished and more modest players. All parts of the course give fine views of the pine clad mountains which protect the course from the worst of any winter storms and from many holes there are splendid views over the Bay of Cala Millor. At various times of the year, flowering oleanders and bougainvillea add to the colours and the numerous hares, ducks and other birdlife that abound add to the feeling that the course really is a special place. After the game the Son Servera Club House Restaurant offers the perfect spot to relax and enjoy local cuisine and hospitality, with views of the 18th hole and the sea.
