Guest Rooms

Guestrooms comprise 154 Deluxe rooms (52m²), 5 suites (100m²) and 1 villa (310m²), decorated in a refined and contemporary style. The bathrooms feature square basins and oval baths framed in black stone. Villas enjoy terrace, private swimming pool and gazebo, with 2 guest rooms. The villa guestrooms can be converted in junior suites for honeymooners with direct access to the beach.

All the rooms and suites open onto a terrace or balcony. Amenities include hair dryer, electronic safe, mini-bar, internet access and tea and coffee making facilities.

A stone’s throw from our hotels, the Cyan at the C Beach Club will give you the choice between a table d'hôte and a buffet menu, while the Coast will treat you to a taste of Italian and Mediterranean flavours.

Savana Restaurant: The main restaurant of Heritage Awali Golf and Spa Resort sets the tone at the entrance. With its four pavilions surrounded by mirror ponds, its ethnic décor and warm colours, Savana radiates a friendly atmosphere.

The place to meet for breakfast, in the evening, Savanna is the setting for a delicious culinary voyage. The varied and thematic cuisine of the restaurant emphasizes the initiation into a refined journey of discovery.

Amafrooty Restaurant at Heritage Awali Golf and Spa Resort offers snacks and light meals, between walks and bathing at the poolside. Next to the main swimming pool of Heritage Awali Golf and Spa Resort, grab a bite and enjoy a light meal before starting the second part of the day. Salads, paninis and sandwiches are served à la carte from noon to 5pm. If you still feel a bit peckish, come back for pancakes at teatime, from 4pm to 6pm.

Under a beautiful African style paillotte overlooking the beach, seat at the bar, lengthened on a sunbed, or Amafrooty is the ideal place to enjoy a light and tasty meal in a pleasant setting.

The Boma at the Heritage Awali takes you on an exotic culinary experience. An evening with an African flavour, the aroma of grilled meat or vedge wafting through the air around a campfire... Once a week, depending on the weather, the Heritage Awali Golf and Spa Resort invites you to enjoy the delights of its family restaurant, the Boma, against a backdrop of stars and the natural surroundings of the Domaine de Bel Ombre.

In Swahili language, the word ‘boma’ means gathering place. And you will gather around a campfire to enjoy some succulent char-grilled local produce, game from the Frédérica Nature Reserve or freshwater fish, with African music playing in the background. Enjoy some great food in a laid-back and friendly atmosphere!

Coast Restaurant at the C Beach Club is an a la carte restaurant that will delight your taste buds with a selection of Mediterranean specialties at lunch time and Italian flavours for dinner. Enjoying open sunshine with Mediterranean-inspired cuisine while relaxing by the pool and enjoying a fabulous view of the lagoon. If you had to pick another name for bliss, it would most definitely be ‘Coast’. The restaurant offers a light menu for lunch with grilled dishes, pizzas, salads and grilled vegetables, to be enjoyed around a stone pizza oven. After sunset, this nice and relaxed atmosphere subtly gives way to a more refined ambience and to some delightful Italian food.

Cyan Open for dinner only, Cyan Restauarant, the main restaurant of the C Beach Club, invites you to enjoy its table d’hôte and buffet menu in an elegant and casual ambience. Elegance and casualness apply at the main restaurant of the C Beach Club, always with a touch of refinement.

Infinity Blue To the rhythm of the omnipresent ocean, Infinity Blue is the ideal place to have a break at noon and enjoy Mauritian delicacies and fresh products from the sea. Also give in to the temptation of a romantic and gourmet evening. At the beach restaurant of Heritage Awali Golf and Spa Resort, seafood has pride of place for dinner.

Fine dining takes on a completely new meaning in the timeless setting of the Château de Bel Ombre, an authentic 19th-century mansion. In the heart of the Domaine de Bel Ombre, the Château is a sought-after venue for hungry gourmets craving for authentic local cuisine. Situated in a romantic setting punctuated by large old trees overlooking a captivating French-style garden, this historic mansion has been restored with taste, while maintaining the spirit of the original décor, to offer a dining experience like no other.

The age-old furniture, panelling and high ceilings as well as the majestic steps and veranda of the Château de Bel Ombre have kept the old-fashioned charm of the colonial era. It would be hard to find a better place for a romantic breakfast or dinner in a fairyland of silky lights, while enjoying a spectacular view of the mountains, the sea and the golf course. Zafarani With a name meaning “saffron” in Swahili, Zafarani is an Indian restaurant inspired by the Holi Festival.

Guests will be overwhelmed by the festive atmosphere and typically Indian decor. The Indian-born Chef treats his guests to culinary specialities of North-India, and the decorative elements and copper-brown metal dinner service are reminiscent of traditional Indian handcraft.

New ways to appreciate the delicious Indian food are featured: the most curious will relish the Indian-style tapas the Chef prepares in front of them, while couples will enjoy the more intimate setting of the three poolside tables for a romantic dinner over the waters. Open for dinner only, and reserved for adults.

Chill at the C Beach Club is a trendy lounge bar on the edge of the sand, which offers tropical moments in a ‘chill-out’ atmosphere.

Infinity Blue Cocktail Bar at Heritage Awali offers refreshing drinks and colourful cocktails, to be enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere, feet in the sand.

Zenzibar Delicately placed amongst the interlaced pools of Heritage Awali Golf and Spa Resort, Zenzibar offers a breathtaking view of the lagoon. This refined and zen lounge bar is the perfect place to enjoy a good cocktail or a selection of refreshments, and also appreciate snacks, pancakes or waffles. In the evening the mood is more festive!

Mini Club Timomo The mini club for children aged 4-12, at the Heritage is based on a character called Timomo, a funny Mauritian bird which looks like a green parrot with a yellow beak. Timomo searches for treasure at the end of the rainbow. This search takes him on a tour of the island where he meets his friends at each of the Veranda Resorts hotels.

Tamarina

Tamarina golf course plays alongside Rempart River with views of the ocean and the spectacular Mount Rempart. The design is in keeping with the African Savannah, set and carved among mature trees with the adjacent mountains giving a fantastic amphitheatre feel. The course is located within the Tamarina Golf Estate in Tamarin Bay.

Paradis Golf

Enjoy a game with scenic contrasts at the Paradis Golf Club, moving from vistas of lush vegetation to magnificent ocean views. The course lies between the magnificent Le Morne Mountain and one of the island’s most beautiful lagoons.

Avalon Golf

Par: 72 Length: 6318m Course designer: Peter Matkovich

Avalon is an open, rolling layout surrounded on all sides by breath-taking views. To the south is the ocean, where early starters can catch the rising sun. A peek in the opposite direction provides a view of the majestic mountains that surround Grand Bassin – the largest natural lake in Mauritius. The elevated nature of the course means that low clouds and cooler, breezy conditions are often to be expected. Very few trees line the course, adding to its feeling of openness and playability, while numerous Tree ferns supplement the local flora and add a soft theme to the unique layout. The course is well balanced and has something to offer every level of golfer, with some shorter par fours to entice the longer hitters and a number of reachable par fives. From the first hole, it is noticeable that the fairways are wide enough to allow plenty of forgiveness for the odd miss-hit shot. The risk-and-reward par four fourth is the course’s signature hole, and for good reason. From an elevated tee, a river cuts across the start of the fairway below, with a small pot bunker peeking out from the left. Thick natural vegetation line the fairway’s left flank, while the right side consists of a slightly more forgiving steep hill. At only 238 metres long, the green is well within range for most players, but so is a lot of the surrounding danger. Such is the nature of Avalon. A number of tee options cater for all level of golfer, and from the club tees the course is an enjoyable 5 847 metres. For the proficient player, true tournament golf conditions can be experienced from the championship tees, which stretch the course to a hefty.
