Visitors to Agadir can enjoy camel rides and rent beach buggies as well as taking in the range of watersports available along the oceanfront.

Local Area

Cultural attractions include the Suq al-Had market with its exotic North African spices, the Museum of Berber Art, which showcases carpets, costumes and tradtitional Moroccan objects, and the ruins of the Agadir Kasbah.

Children will enjoy La Valle des Oiseaux, a small zoo with a rich collection of birds including ostriches. There is a large birdcage with a tunnel for close up viewing of flamingos and other colourful species.

Golf de l'Ocean

27 challenging holes situated over natural sand dunes in the heart of a eucalyptus forest with natural hazards including sand dunes & pine trees. Golf de l’Ocean has hosted the Trophee Hassan on the European Tour in 2010 and the Ladies European Tour in 2011. Luxurious clubhouse with Restaurant & Terrace overlooking Agadir with panoramic views of the Anti Atlas Mountains and the ancient Kasbah.

Golf les Dunes

Par: 36 Length: Yellow 3,050m; Blue 3,174m; Red 3,208m Course designer: Cabell B. Robinson

Hidden from the ocean but with water throughout, the three nines of The Dunes wind spectacularly through woods of eucalyptus trees and clumps of tamarisk and broom. The nines can be combined in any order to offer different challenges of nerve and skill. The Blue course is probably the easiest with wide, open fairways, while the Red has two large lakes to negotiate. The Yellow requires plenty of skill, particularly on the tricky par-5 ninth. Golf les Dunes also has an excellent golf academy to help players hone their games.

Tazegzout Golf Course

Course designer: Kyle Phillips

Designed by Kyle Phillips, this new 18 holes golf course is located 15 km north of Agadir, within the Taghazout Bay resort. Tazegzout golf course offers an amazing layout with stunning holes overlooking the Atlantic Ocean thanks to its elevation of 80 meters above sea level.

Golf du Soleil - Championship

Golf du Soleil features two 18-hole courses. The Championship course is the longer of the two courses and played host to the 2011 Moroccan Open. The Championship course is a beautiful and entertaining test of golf, with palm tree lined fairways and small target greens. There are also impressive water features towards the end of both nines to keep you honest all the way to the finishing line! The Championship course is generally flat, so easily walked.
