Situated in the province of Huelva, in the far west of Andalucia and bordering Portugal, Golf el Rompido is integrated into the surrounding natural landscape.

Golf el Rompido is the only 36-hole facilitiy in the region. Its two 18-hole courses (North and South), surrounded by pine trees and orange groves, traverse the Marismas or marshes and make their way towards the Atlantic Ocean, providing spectacular views and a unique sensation for golfers.

Both of the courses, created by prestigious Spanish designer Alvaro Arana, represent a concept where the fundamental objective is respect for the environment. A total absence of buildings throughout the golf course means that nature is the centre of attention on the courses.

The North course boasts privileged views due to its location on a hill. The main characteristic on the North is that the fairways are longer and wider than those on the South course.

The South Course borders the clubhouse and is divided into two 9s of very different characteristics in terms of landscape. Pine wood, olive trees and marsh land are all part of the course layout.

La Monacilla Golf is situated in a secluded and beautiful woodland in the Huelva Province, just 20km from Precise Hotel El Rompido.

The design of La Monacilla by Jose Maria Olazábal, features fairways with subtle shapes and slopes, along with large, well protected greens.

Six tee boxes on each hole, allow each golfer to choose the layout that best fits to their level of play. The strategic placement of the fairway bunkers means that each tee fits perfectly to the hole layout making the course an enjoyable challenge for golfers of all abilities.

The result of this fabulous golf design, combined with the superb maintenance and the wonderful weather conditions found in the Huelva, is a most enjoyable round for golfers.

La Moncilla also offers excellent practice facilities, with a driving range over 270 m long and with grass tee area for 35 players. The short game area includes 3 different greens, putting, chipping and approach greens.
