Diane Barrière-Desseigne Course

Formerly known as the Blue Course, this championship course offers a clear contrast of styles between holes out in the wide open and those which weave their way around a 5-hectare lake.

Like the Rouge (Red) course at La Baule, the Blue starts in a pleasant woodland setting before undergoing a dramatic change of character from the par-4 5th to the par-4 13th.

The middle section of the course is played in a large open expanse of slightly undulating terraine that, together with the new real estate developments, gives things a very American feel.

This is a pleasant enough course to play, with quite a strong start and finish, but in many respects the Blue lacks the depth and character of the Red.

Suite and Green Golf de La Baule also offers the François André (Green) Course – an impressive 9 hole course – perfect as an alternative for afternoon or evening play.

La Bretesche

Lucien Barrière Course

Formerly known as the Red Course, the presence of several water obstacles makes the Lucien Barriere greens a great challenge to precise iron play.

This parkland layout begins with its gentle undulations, relaxed countryside and narrow fairways. After five holes, the scene changes to a more open and modern layout, where water, big greens, serious bunkering and fairway-side real estate are more evident.

By the 14th hole, the course returns to classic parkland, with the closing duo of 17 and 18 providing a terrific grandstand finish, where water is the big challenge. An excellent course throughout.

Suite and Green Golf de La Baule also offers the François André (Green) Course – an impressive 9 hole course – perfect as an alternative for afternoon or evening play.
