Cannes-Mougins Golf Club

Cannes-Mougins Golf Club was founded in 1923 by a group of illustrious gentlemen such as Aga Khan, Prince Pierre of Monaco and Baron Edouard de Rothschild.

The golf course was completely re-designed and rejuvenated in 1978 by Peter Allis and Dave Thomas. The superb site winds its way between two magnificent forests and the gently undulating course is traversed by the Bouillide river and several water hazards. Open fairways, lengthy greens - play combines technical expertise and moments of repose. A great golfing rendez-vous not be missed.

Form 1984-1994, Cannes-Mougins played host to the Cannes Open. This competition was a highlight on the European Tour and winners include Greg Norman, Severiano Ballesteros, and Ian Woosnam!

At Royal Mougins Golf Resort, course designer Von Hagge has utilised the natural landscape, hills and wooded plains, to create varied holes that are often technical, complemented by 8 lakes features interlinked by rivers and mini waterfalls.

The course is generally reserved to Club Members, but admission is also granted to all hotel guests or visitors who book a green-fee (up to 5 green fees per person per year permitted).

Between 1995 and 1998, Royal Mougins Golf Club hosted the Cannes Open, a professional tournament on the European Tour.

The more demanding of the two courses, Le Château at Terre Blanche Golf Club stretches (7,235 yards) and is known for spectacular water obstacles. The bunkers, greens and flag positions provide the challenges of a true championship course, rewarding players for their precision and distance. The layout is largely flat, with highlights including a picturesque lake and a 19th-century castle.
