County Sligo Golf Club is one of Ireland's great Championship Links located on the Rosses Point peninsula, 6km from Sligo.

The present Championship links was designed in 1927 by the famous golfing architect, Harry S. Colt, with a variety of holes to create a test for the very best golfers. Strandhill Golf Club is famous not just for its warm welcome, but also for its own most enjoyable layout, winding through sand-dunes, with blind approach shots resulting from misplaced drives, and challenging elevated greens testing the accuracy of iron play. Recovery from the undulating links heather and reeds also tests the shot-making closer to the green.
