Set against the backdrop of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains, Assoufid Golf Course winds its way through a unique, naturally undulating desert landscape.

As his first golf course design project, Scottish designer and former European Tour player, Niall Cameron, had the vision to create a desert-style golf course that would look and feel as natural and as integrated into the existing landscape as possible, while maximizing the beautiful views of North Africa’s Atlas Mountains to the south.

Assoufid Golf Club recognizes the importance of protecting and enhancing its natural environment, in which only 45% of the golf course was planted to minimize water consumption. During construction, a significant number of trees found growing on site were retained, and many more have since been planted, including palm trees, cacti and olive trees.

With the foothills of the Atlas Mountains and snowy peaks in the background, the 18-hole golf course at Fairmont Royal Palm covers 75 hectares of natural space offering a true “commune with nature”.

The golf course design by Cabell Robinson respected the environment and landscape, taking into consideration the Wadi river, every tree and every hill, combining all the shapes and hues of a generous nature, to create a respectful course bordered by bougainvillea and oleanders.

The Golf Country Club of Fairmont Royal Palm offers members and their guests a modern, yet relaxed atmosphere with first-class amenities. It naturally boasts a host of facilities that reflect the high standards associated with the name Fairmont, including dining areas Sabra and Legends’ Bar, the most exquisite men’s and women’s locker rooms and a golf shop that provides the finest in golfing attire.

The Club also offers an exclusive exercise and yoga room as well as a semi-Olympic swimming pool.

Samanah Country Club is an impressive championship course by Nicklaus Design overlooking the Atlas Mountains, 20 km west of Marrakech.

The golf features a 2000m² clubhouse with Golfer's Bar, Bridge TV & Lounge, a restaurant and a Pro-Shop and extensive practice facilities suitable for tournament play
