ALBORÁN GOLF is located in Almería, close to the capital in the new El Toyo residential and leisure complex - just a few metres from the beach and very near the Cabo de Gata National Park.

This 18 hole championship golf course is surrounded by an unequalled semi-desert landscape.

Ramom Espinosa, the designer, has achieved an important balance between the different holes, both in terms of length and the design and location of the various elements which make up the course (bunkers, streams, lakes, etc.) The 66 bunkers are strategically located along every single hole, and players will need real concentration all the way round.

The course also has two large lakes situated on the first 9 holes which, apart from regulating the irrigation of the course, also have a direct impact on both the game itself and the beauty of the surroundings.

The tees of the 1st and the green of the 9th are both near the Clubhouse so players can enjoy a short rest before moving on to play the next nine holes, starting at the nearby tees of the 10th and ending up back near the Clubhouse for the magnificent green of the 18th.

The various training areas and the large tee of the practice pitch are also bear the Clubhouse, which is handy for players who want to get some practice in before tackling the 18 holes.

ALBORAN GOLF is a new point of reference for golf in the South of Spain. The course is classed as demanding by the more experienced players but is highly attractive for amateurs.

La Envia Golf is set in a gently undulating valley and surrounded by mountains which protect it from the prevailing winds.

An abundance of palms and cactus and other indigenous shrubs has been planted along the periphery of each hole, making this course a true oasis in the desert-like area.

La Envia Golf is noted for the care of its interesting and challenging greens, many of which are raised, designed to bring a mixture of fun and difficulty to your round.

The front nine can be described as relatively flat, longish holes, especially the 2nd and the 5th which will help prepare you for the back nine – though they are shorter in distance they require a more thoughtful approach to each hole. Holes 12, 13 and 14 – known as La Envia´s “Amen Corner” – do allow for the possibility of a birdie or two, though they can just as easily ruin your card!

Completing the golf facilities at La Envia are four practice greens and a 20-slot driving range.

Playa Serena Golf offers generous fairways, 9 lakes and greens protected by strategically placed bunkers.

Rated as the flattest course in Spain, the course is comfortable the main difficulty lies in the long holes and the design of the greens.

The course has the adequate level and design for various national tournaments.

Among the wide range of trees and plants, the Mediterranean feel prevails throughout the entire course. The perimeter is made up of Waterbush (Myoporum acuminatum) tamarisks and mimosas.

In the rough and garden areas you also find pines, eucalyptus, palm trees, olive trees, oleanders and bougainvillea.
