Puglia

Puglia Map

The Apulian region is an uncontaminated territory where sea, culture, art, tradition and spirituality blend in variegated and poetic unison.

In a survey conducted by Condè Nast Traveler US at the end of 2012, Puglia was featured as one of the world’s 20 most beautiful tourist destinations and was the only Italian entry.

Locorotondo and Cisternino have been recognized as two of Italy’s ‘Most beautiful villages’.

The Mediterranean diet is recognized as Unesco Intangible Cultural Heritage: orecchiette, burrata, Altamura bread, ‘friselle’ with tomatoes and vegetables…and don’t forget the primitivo wine, part of Puglia’s enological excellence, making this region one of the top 10 destinations for wine lovers.

The lifestyle here is different than that of other regions, because it is marked by local traditions, healthy Mediterranean food, a rural and manufacturing-based economy and mild climate year-round.

Borgo Egnazia is located in the heart of Puglia, immersed among the ancient olive groves of the Itria valley and only steps away from the crystal blue Adriatic sea of Savelletri.

San Domenico is a classic links golf course, characterized by the typical Mediterranean vegetation. Next to the low bushes of thyme, rosemary, sage and mint, sprout the ancient and uniquely beautiful olive trees, becoming the emblem of San Domenico Golf.
