Vice President Suite With amazing views of the formal gardens, our spacious Vice Presidential Suites are all individually designed by interiors guru, Martin Hulbert. Featuring original art, standalone baths and large, airy windows, the Vice President suite offer a whole new level of luxury.

The Grove Suite Embodying the true spirit of The Grove, this suite boasts distinctive interiors, unique artwork and unparalleled views of our formal gardens and rolling Hertfordshire countryside beyond. The striking one bedroom suite has a light, airy lounge, luxurious bathroom with a marble bath and separate shower and overlooks our golf course, formal garden and terrace.

Bar/Dining

The Glasshouse The a la carte Glasshouse restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our chefs have also crafted a children’s menu, which should please even the fussiest of diners. Globe-trotting Executive Chef, Stephen Wheeler, has cooked his way across the world, garnering recipes and techniques and bringing them home to The Grove. His travels, especially in Asia, inspired this atmospheric concept.

Madhu’s at The Grove Promising an elevated South Asian dining experience, the creative team will be serving a mouth-watering array of perfectly balanced dishes including zesty chilli and garlic prawns, slow cooked lamb leg, spiced dal and refreshing Alphonso mango sorbet.

The Glasshouse Bar Enjoy a verdant Garden to Glass experience. It’s in the view, it’s reflected in the design, and it infuses many drinks. Many fresh ingredients are sustainably picked from Jemima’s Kitchen Garden at The Grove.

The Stables Bar and Terrace With warm interiors and extensive drinks list, The Stables Bar is the perfect spot to cosy up with a drink and bite to eat whilst enjoying views of the golf course.

The Lounges Recently refurbished by world-renowned designer Martin Hulbert, the Lounges are set at the heart of our 18th century Mansion. Admire the interiors with a mid-day coffee, take in the breath-taking views of the formal gardens over afternoon tea or indulge in an after-dinner tipple, or two. With more than 15 types of tea, neat finger sandwiches and freshly baked scones laden with clotted cream and jam, afternoon tea is perfect for a spot of indulgence. Just make sure to leave plenty of room for the beautifully prepared cakes – it’s a necessity!

Swimming There are three swimming pools to choose from - including a dedicated kids’ pool at Anouska’s. Families can use the indoor pool at Sequoia in the afternoons, or cool off in the outdoor pool at The Walled Garden during the summer months.

Anouska’s Swimming Pool Perfect for younger guests learning to swim, Anouska’s also has a splash pool for really little ones.

Sequoia Swimming Pool Tire yourself out with a few laps of our striking black indoor swimming pool or hop in the jacuzzi for a luxury soak.

Outdoor Swimming Pool During the warmer months the outdoor heated pool in the Walled Garden is ideal for a few lengths or a splash with the family. Open seasonally.

With plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained, you won’t want to leave this quirky little haven. Cool off in the outdoor pool, and have a splash with the kids. Help yourself to buckets and spades and build the ultimate sand castles on our sandy private beach. Play games on the lawn.

Tennis Set within the grounds of our beautiful Walled Garden are two artificial all weather tennis courts, for the exclusive use of hotel guests.

Jemima’s Kitchen Garden A haven of bio-diversity, the new Jemima’s Kitchen Garden has been built to work in tandem with nature, promising vibrant seasonal blooms and organic produce for our restaurants.

Activity Lawn Grab yourself a mallet and try your hand at Croquet or set up the Giant Chess board for a spot of strategising. For something a little more energetic there’s badminton or a small football pitch to hone your skills on.

Segway Experiences Enjoy an exhilarating trip through Asher’s Woodland Trails by Segway, with the support of a fully-qualified instructor. With no licence required, simply climb aboard one of these self-balancing, eco-friendly, battery powered two-wheelers and get ready to explore. Available all week for morning or afternoon sessions, Segway rides are open to those over the age of 10.
