Galway consists of an 18-hole layout by the scenic Galway Bay with panoramic views of the Atlantic shoreline. The course, which was designed by Augusta National creator Dr Alistair MacKenzie, is characterised by an undulating terrain of hillocks, whin and shrubbery. A quality course with the finest greens that rarely gets the review it deserves.

Bearna GC

Bearna Golf Club is located within 10 minutes of Galway City centre, set amidst the celebrated beauty of West of Ireland landscape on the fringe of Connemara. With commanding views of Galway Bay, the Burren, and the Aran Islands, Bearna Golf course is recongised as one of Ireland’s finest. With generous fairways, and abundant wildlife, water comes into play at thirteen of the eighteen holes, and the final four holes provide a spectacular finish to a satisfying and memorable experience.

Galway Bay

The Galway Bay Golf & Country Club is located eight miles from the vibrant city of Galway and flanked on three sides by the Atlantic Ocean. The course is set in lush surroundings, blending the stunning backdrop of Galway Bay and the rugged curves of the Atlantic coastline with mature trees, water hazards, concealed bunkers and perfectly manicured putting surfaces. With variable wind speed and directions, this Championship golf course plays differently each day posing a considerable challenge to even the lowest handicap golfers, yet it is a true and fair test of golf.

Connemara

Par: 72 Length: 7270 yards Course designer: Eddie Hackett

The Connemara Golf links is bounded on three sides by the Atlantic Ocean, while on the 'inland' side the golfer can enjoy an excellent view of the 'Twelve Bens' mountains. The prettiest hole of the course is the 13th, where the golfer will probably be more fascinated by the view of the Atlantic Ocean and by the rest of the course than by his ball! There are 27 holes at Connemara and A & B are the Championship nines with the newer C nine holes offering a good test, with tight fairways and a par of 35, if either of the other nines are unavailable.
