Powerscourt Estate Gardens: Dating back to 1731, these gardens include Italianate garden designs influenced by the terraces and formal features of Italian Renaissance villas.

Also featured are Japanese Gardens, a stunning Walled Garden with beautiful herbaceous borders, and surrounding woodland known as The Viscount’s Private Walk and American Garden. The Gardens at Powerscourt were opened to the public in 1974 and are very popular among the Irish and foreign visitor alike.

"18 of the best shaped putting surfaces seen since God had a hand in building Prestwick" - Golf Monthly Powerscourt Golf Club, designed by Walker Cup player and captain Peter McEvoy, is situated in the grounds of the Powerscourt Estate in Co Wicklow. Opened in 1996 the Powerscourt East course quickly gained a reputation as one of the finest golf courses in Ireland. Just 2 years after opening, it hosted the Smurfit Irish PGA championship and the AIB European Senior Tour. A parkland course with both moorland and links characteristics, Powerscourt has some great views of the surrounding hills and valleys that define the County of Wicklow as the Garden of Ireland.

Powerscourt West

The course is defined by its water hazards, raised greens and great bunkering. The fairways are a little more generous than those at the East Course, and the greens more inviting.
