Just minutes away from The Westin Innisbrook Golf Resort is Tarpon Springs, a Greek-American fishing village, with wonderful eateries and specialty shops that keep the traditions of the old country very much alive.

Local area beaches offer endless water sports and beautiful views of the Gulf - Caladesi Island State Park is rated in the top 10 Most Beautiful Beaches in the US. Deep sea fishing is also available, with other attractions, Busch Gardens theme park in Tampa and the Salvador Dali Museum in the nearby town of Saint Petersburg, which also is home to one of major league baseball's newest teams, the Tampa Bay Devil Rays! Innisbrook’s 10-acre dedicated practice and instruction facility is ranked in the top 25 US golf schools by Golf Magazine. The award-winning staff include Director of Golf Rodney Green, a Class-A PGA professional, and Dawn Mercer, named one of the US’s Top 50 instructors by Golf for Women magazine.

The Golf Institute runs daily clinics which are included complimentary with your golf package rate through Ascot Golf (otherwise, $30 per session). The group clinics take place from 10am-11am at the Osprey Range for Long Game, and from 2:30pm-3:30pm on the Copperhead Range for Short Game – with each day covering a different aspect of the game.

The resort also offers stay-and-play golf schools. Three and Four-day schools include 36-45 holes of golf on Innisbrook’s championship courses, detailed short and long game instruction, computer swing analysis and on-course instruction.

Price: $950 for three-day school / $1350 for four-day school (accommodation, lunch, breakfast and green fees included).

Innisbrook - Copperhead

Par: 71 Length: 7295 yards Course designer: Larry & Roger Packard Venue: Transitions Championship – USPGA Tour

Copperhead is the signature course at Innisbrook and hosts the USPGA Tour’s Transitions Championship. The course opens with a tee perched some 50 feet above the fairway of a 560 yard par-5, which sweeps into a dog-leg right. There are many elevation changes on the course from both trees and greens. Mature pine trees, water and rolling fairways are the main features at Copperhead.

Innisbrook - Island

Par: 72 Length: 7063 yards Course designer: Larry & Roger Packard

The Island is the No.2 course at Innisbrook. The first six holes are flanked by lateral water hazards which require accuracy on both tee shots and approaches. The second six holes feature rolling hills with cypress and pine trees. The final third of the Island Course offers an exciting mix of risk reward holes - in particular the 18th which will test the nerves of even the most accomplished player! The signature hole on the Island course is No. 7, a par-5 dogleg-left that plays at 565 yards from the back tees.

Innisbrook - South

Par: 71 Length: 6768 yards Course designer: Larry & Roger Packard

The South course is almost a links in style with fairway bunkers and rolling terrain. Wind is often a challenging factor making club selection a key part of the round. Sizeable waste bunker areas, water hazards and the longest Par 5 in Florida (the 650-yard 13th) offer a great challenge.

Innisbrook - North

Par: 70 Length: 6515 yards Course designer: Larry & Roger Packard

North is the shortest course at Innisbrook but also one of the most challenging - with 11 of the 18 holes featuring water hazards. The course layout features tight fairways and well-bunkered greens, placing a premium on accuracy from tee to green. This course is renowned for its challenging par-3s and its narrow greens.

World Woods - Pine Barrens GC

Par: 71 Length: 7125 yards Course designer: Tom Fazio

“This is my best work” Tom Fazio Located an hour’s drive north of Innisbrook, World Woods - Pine Barrens has been compared to Pine Valley in New Jersey - the consensus No. 1 course in the world. Fazio goes all out at Pine Barrens with alternate route holes and some of the most heroic shots to be found on any inland course. The comparisons to Pine Valley are inevitable, as the course is laid out over similar land – rolling, pine-covered and sandy. However, World Woods is far from an imitation of the New Jersey course and is unique in style of design and layout in Florida. The large manicured fairways framed by expansive untamed waste bunkering create a unique golf experience. TPC Tampa Bay

TPC Tampa Bay – located 35 minutes driving from Innisbrook - is routed around natural wetlands, cypress heads and numerous ponds and lagoons, which are home to an abundance of wildlife. Since its opening 1991, the facility has earned numerous accolades, TPC Tampa Bay has been named the best golf facility in West Central Florida, and within the Top-5 in the State by Florida Golf Magazine. TPC Tampa Bay plays host venue to the Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am on the Champion's Tour.
