The $150m resort refurbishment completed in 2007 includes a redesign of the Turnberry Isle’s 392 rooms and suites to deliver a blend of classic Mediterranean elegance with a sophisticated, modern flair. A palette of butterscotch, pale greens, neutral tones and chocolate brown offers a comfortable and elegant tone.

Each room features flat-screen televisions, soothing natural textiles and rich wood furnishings. Bathrooms have been entirely re-created with added indulgences, including soaking tubs, glass-enclosed showers, mosaic flooring and flat-screen televisions.

All accommodations feature private balconies with stunning views of the luxurious landscaped gardens and the resort's picturesque South Florida golf courses. All rooms offer a spacious work desk equipped with High Speed Internet Access.

Turnberry (View) Rooms (500 - 525 ft² / 46-50m²) are large luxurious rooms with hardwood floor entrances and furnishings and French doors leading to a private balcony with resort or golf course views. King Bed.

Deluxe (View) Rooms (700 ft² / 65m²) are luxurious oversized rooms that offer extra living space. An overstuffed sofa (which may convert to a sofa bed) completes the sitting area. French doors lead to a private balcony or ground-level patio with resort or golf views. King or two Queen beds.

One Bedroom Suite: (1,000 - 1,100 ft² / 95m²). Combines a luxurious King Bedroom with a spacious Living Room with a sofa and comfortable side chairs. A balcony from the living room offers superior views of the golf courses.

Jasmine Suite (1,300 ft² / 120m²) Luxurious one-bedroom suite features an oversized bedroom and living room. The living room contains a convertible queen-size Murphy bed wall unit, a desk, a comfortable sitting area and a second bathroom with shower.

Apartment Suite (1,300 ft² / 124m²) Luxurious suite accommodation with the convenience of a fully equipped kitchen with dining area (seating four). The spacious bedroom features a bed and a large walk-in closet with built-in shelves. One King bed (parlour room contains a sofa bed).

Tower Suite (1,600 ft² / 150m²) Oversized suite that offers the finest in privacy and luxury. Large living room offers ample seating with a sofa bed, side chairs, iHome system. A raised bar area contains a mini-bar ideal for entertaining. The master bathroom offers a large whirlpool tub, separate shower area.

Presidential Suite (1,700 ft² / 158m²) Offers exceptional luxury and privacy and is ideal for entertaining. Features a dramatic entrance foyer and exquisite marble floor throughout. A separate dining area (seating eight) is adjacent to a bar area with three barstools. Two sets of French doors in the living room lead to a private balcony offering views of the golf courses. Double doors lead to the bedroom featuring a bed and desk.

Grand Presidential Suite (2,400 ft² / 220m²) Featuring rich wood floors, wool area carpets and a collection of West Indies-inspired furnishings, this stunning Miami suite includes a dining room with seating for six, private study leads to a large bedroom, and a fully equipped kitchen and a spacious vast living room area. Private terrace offers ample seating and panoramic views of the golf courses.

Corsair Restaurant Inspired by the age of discovery and Florida's rich history of exploration, Corsair, by celebrated and award-winning chef Scott Conant, offers a seasonal and rustic menu rooted in the farmhouse cooking of America and the Mediterranean. Dishes follow each season, reflecting the harvest of local farmers and purveyors and putting the quality and simplicity of their ingredients center stage.

The décor and menu offerings are united through a sense of understated sophistication best described by the Italian expression 'sprezzatura,' an air of casual elegance or a certain confident nonchalance.

JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort and Spa was developed in the early 1970s as an exclusive sports Mecca for private club members with outstanding golf, tennis, marina and spa facilities. With its rich history as the host site for PGA Seniors and LPGA Tours.

In 1989, the resort underwent major reconstruction to take its place as a world-class resort. The US$80 million expansion project resulted in a masterpiece of classic architectural style, with pillars, arched promenades and terracotta roofs. The striking transformation added guest rooms and suites, restaurants, lounges and conference center. The resort's unspoiled beauty has always attracted celebrities, world leaders, prize-winning authors and major motion pictures, such as Demi Moore's Strip Tease and Stuck on You starring Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear, have been filmed on property.

In 1999 the resort added its final guest wing, the Jasmine wing, adding 112 rooms and 11 suites to our resort. In 2001, the resort opened its 25,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art Turnberry Isle Spa and fitness centre.

In 2006, the resort returned to its beginnings as its original developers, Turnberry Associates, once again acquired the property. A $150 million renovation project quickly ensued taking the resort from “great” to “amazing”!

Both 18-hole golf courses, originally designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and re-interpreted by golf great Raymond Floyd, underwent a $30 million reconstruction project. All guest rooms, spa facilities, conference centre, Beach Club, restaurants and resort common areas have been completely renovated to the standards befitting a legendary luxury resort.

Deep Sea Fishing The Turnberry Isle Miami offers the very best of sport fishing in South Florida. Sport-fishing yachts may be chartered from The Fairmont Turnberry Isle Marina, accommodating a maximum of six guests per boat. Fishing trips can be customized as to the type of fish being caught; Wahoo, Shark, King, Sail and Amberjack are most popular. Prices include the boat's Captain and Mate, bait and tackle.

Fresh Water Fishing Enjoy the best in fresh water fishing (including Bass and Crappie) at the Everglades Holiday Park.

Flats Fishing Enjoy some of the finest flats fishing (tarpon/bonefish) in the shallow waters off Key Biscayne and Crandon Park.

Tarpon fishing is also available with departures from The Turnberry Isle Miami Marina.

The Tennis Center

The Turnberry Isle Miami offers a variety of tennis lessons, clinics, social and competitive tennis programs and events designed for a variety of ages and skill levels.

The Tennis Concierge arranges games with another hotel guest or club member.

The Pro Shop stocks an extensive selection of tennis and fitness fashions and equipment for men, women and children. Racquet customization, including same-day stringing, is also available. Australian tennis legend Fred Stolle, Turnberry's Ambassador of Tennis and winner of 18 Grand Slam Championships, has called Turnberry Isle his home for over 20 years.

The Turnberry Isle Spa at Turnberry Isle Miami boasts a beautiful Mediterranean-style exterior with a dramatic 40-foot curved glass wall ascending throughout and a grand spiral staircase connecting its three floors.

There are 23 treatment rooms as well as a steam room, mineral pools and a fitness centre.

Turnberry Isle - Miller Course

Par: 70 Length: 6417 yards Course designer: Robert Trent Jones and Raymond Floyd

The highlight of the shorter Miller course at Turnberry Isle Miami is the group of holes that border Lake Julius (named after two-time US Open champion Julius Boros) on the back nine. The par-three No. 15 is a daring 200-yard carry over the lake from the back tees with safe bailouts on the left side, and with a receptive green rewarding the brave. The finishing par-five is a birdie opportunity with the green placed at the foot of a dramatic waterfall. Another treat on the course is a bird refuge on Lake Julius with flamingos and tropical birds.

Turnberry Isle - Soffer Course

Par: 71 Length: 7047 yards Course designer: Robert Trent Jones, Raymond Floyd Venue: LPGA Tour - Stanford International Pro Am

The Soffer Course offers contoured fairways, doglegs, spectacular water features, and more elevation changes than is often seen in this part of the state. Further enhancing the experience, a specatular 64-foot waterfall provides an unforgettable finish on the Soffer Course's 18-hole Island Green, while colourful indigenous flora and tropical trees surrounding each hole serve as a natural privacy barrier so every foursome feels like they're the only players on the course.

Miami Beach Golf Club

Par: 72 Length: 6813m Course designer: Arthur Hills/Steve Forrest and Associates

Originally opened as the Bayshore Golf Course in 1923, in 2002 the course received a $10 million face-lift reopening as Miami Beach Golf Club. The face-lift was major: every blade of grass and most trees removed; lakes drained, redesigned and refilled; irrigation system replaced, even hills and bunkers bulldozed and resculpted; the old clubhouse demolished and a new clubhouse was constructed. “The result is a beautifully restored landmark that will be enjoyed by South Florida residents and visitors from around the world for years to come," said Jorge Gonzalez, Miami Beach City Manager.

Crandon Golf

Crandon Golf Key Biscayne is a championship 18-hole golf course located on the "island paradise" of Key Biscayne, just 10 minutes from downtown Miami. It is the perfect alternative during a city golf trip where you can spend a day enveloped by the tropics! Crandon Golf is an explosion of color and light surrounded by water, mangroves and lush, tropical foliage. You can experience the local wildlife in its natural habitat too. Secluded and inviting, Crandon is the only public golf course on the Bay. Crandon was the site of the Senior PGA Tour for the past 18 years, attracting golf’s greats including Lee Trevino, Chi Chi Rodriguez, Don Messengale, Ray Floyd and Gary Player. The course is considered one of the most beautiful and difficult par-72 courses in the state. Crandon’s seventh hole is touted as “One of the Greatest Holes in Golf,” a gorgeous par 4 that doglegs to the right and sends your golf ball soaring over the beautiful bay. The course offers a unique playing experience featuring seven saltwater lakes, challenging sand traps, mangrove thickets, and holes overlooking Biscayne Bay. It's the only course with a subtropical lagoon in North America. Escape to Crandon Golf Key Biscayne for a unique and challenging golf experience.

The Diplomat Golf and Tennis Club

The Diplomat Golf and Tennis Club is ideally located in Hollywood Miami, just 10 minute driving from Turnberry Isle Miami. The Diplomat provides a high quality Florida design featuring several water hazards, waste areas and strategic bunkering bunkers and over 3,000 palm and coconut trees! The signature hole at the Diplomat arrives early on in the front 9: the 2nd hole, which is a short par 4 with an island green. The 16th par 5 features a tight tee shot, where the corner can be cut if you're willing to take the risk! The 17th is a short par 3 guarded by water and the 18th also offers plenty risk-reward opportunities on the tee shot.

The Club at Emerald Hills

Par: 72 Length: 6931 yards Course designer: Devlin/Von Hagge

The Club at Emerald Hills is one of South Florida’s finest championship golf courses. Centrally located between Fort Lauderdale and Miami in the city of Hollywood, Florida, The Club at Emerald Hills displays a harmonious blend of undulating greens, contoured bunkers and hills, all meticulously maintained to guarantee you a challenge. As host site for the PGA Tour Honda Open Qualifiers, The Club has also hosted U.S. Open, U.S. Senior Open, U.S. Amateur, U.S. Mid-Amateur, and U.S. Public Links qualifiers as well as several local PGA events. The course received an extensive facelift in the summer of 2000 with many improvements including new TifEagle greens, tees, and bunkers. The ownership continues to improve the course every year, and has since added numerous coquina waste bunkers and native grass plantings to add additional character and challenge to the impeccably maintained layout. The course features generous landing areas for most tee shots, but requires precision approach shots into lightning fast, undulating greens in order to score well. Serious players will absolutely love this amazing track!
