Trump International Golf Links

Length: 7400 yards
Course designer: Dr Martin Hawtree

“With the championship links and MacLeod House & Lodge fully established, the golf experience in Scotland has been elevated to new levels of excellence” – Donald Trump
Trump International Golf Links is a classical Scottish links course constructed to a high championship specification with a design and infrastructure capable of hosting a major golfing events. Former European Ryder Cup captain Colin Montgomerie described the links as a “marvel” of a course after playing the opening round.
All holes are laid out in a north-south direction close to the shoreline with the exception of the short 13th which faces inland (west). The holes thread their way engagingly through the dunes with views of the sea, plunging into secluded valleys and offering a sequence of superlative links landscapes. Each hole is connected by grass pathway from green to tee, without a cart path in sight! Experienced local caddies are available on advance request.
Bunkers at Trump International Links are placed and designed to challenge the stronger player. All bunkers are turf-revetted in traditional style to combat wind and erosion and sand-blow. Greens have been sited in natural promontories and valleys and are featured in relation to their setting.
While the sea doesn’t come directly into play on the golf course, there is an ever-present coastal feel to the holes and it is an undeniably beautiful property.

Royal Aberdeen
Par: 70
Length: 6415 yards
Course designer: Robert Simpson
Venue: British Seniors Open
|
The Royal Aberdeen course runs out and back along the North Sea shore, the outward 9 cutting through some wonderful dune formation with the homeward nine on the plateau.
A traditional old Scottish links, it is well bunkered with undulating fairways. It is an excellent balance of holes, strong par 4's, tricky par 3's and two classic par 5's.

Cruden Bay
Par: 72
Length: 6395 yards
Course designer: Old Tom Morris
|
It is claimed that golf was played in the village of Cruden Bay as early as 1791. The original course, on the present site, was commissioned by the Great North of Scotland Railway (GNSR) following the expansion of the railways at the end of the 19th century, designed by Old Tom Morris of St Andrews, and opened in 1899.
An endearing links that is always a challenge and a pleasure to play. Yardage book is advised as there are a couple of blind shots.
