Wonderful, challenging and scenic golf course, with open rolling fairways, surrounded by pine trees, and set into the hills overlooking the Bay of Alcudia, with Minorca island in the distance.
Alcanada is the only Mallorca golf course directly by the sea - the lighthouse on the island of Alcanada is just 150 metres from the course and forms part of the logo of the club of Alcanada.
The golf course of Alcanada is located in an environmentally sensitive area - the golf clubhouse is located within a century-old finca or estate. The whole scene is tranquil and inspiring for a most enjoyable golfing experience. Owned by a member of the famous Porsche family.
Son Termens is a tight but fair course with small greens and sharply undulating fairways, set in the shadow of the Tramuntana mountain range.
The course is not overly long, but there’s plenty to test you with tights landing areas and immaculate greens protected by trees, ravines and bunkers. The course is a favourite of the islanders.
Your round starts with a short par of just 229m but then gets steadily tougher until you reach the dogleg 18th – a great finishing hole,
Son Termens is built on a former hunting estate so there’s a profusion of game birds around the course as well as great views over the Bay of Palma.
Golf Maioris is set within a classic Mallorca landscape of pine, carob and olive trees. The course features 4 large lakes and 2 island greens creating memorable challenges.
After a relatively straight forward opening hole, the second drive is challenged by large pine trees in the centre of the fairway. The par-5 4th hole is one of the island greens. Another notable hole is the par-3 13th - just 142 metres (yellow tees) but the green is surrounded by water on three sides.
The large club house at Golf Maioris is the ideal place to discuss the heroics of your game over a drink or dinner. Maioris is located near the coast, just 10km from Iberostar Son Antem.
The golf course at Pula is a challenge of hard firm fairways and green, elevation changes, and tightly located greens. Water also comes into play from several tee-shots to increase the demands on shot making.
Pula is located on the east of the island, deep in Mallorca countryside, 40 minutes drive from Palma. Darren Clarke won here on the European Tour from course designer Jose Maria Olazabal in second place in 2011, en route to his famous Open triumph at St Georges.
Quality layout and presentation, set in the hills just 10km east of Palma. Several exciting water holes, including the drivable Par-4, with a 220-metre carry over water protecting the green. A very enjoyable play!
“I really liked the course. It’s a bit like Augusta” – Masters winner Ian Woosnam
Son Gual is a challenging, well thought out course amid gently rolling terrain and with plenty of strategically placed bunkers. The course is designed to be generous, but stretching to 6621m off the back of four tees and with a variety of water hazards it can test the best golfer.
The spectacular layout winds through hills, olive groves and vineyards, with neighbouring fields of colourful wild flowers and some of the best views in Mallorca.
Son Gual is laid out in two very distinctive halves, the front nine running along the extremity of the estate, with the second encompassed within its centre. The estate's Palacio is perched atop the course, guarding the estate.
The large greens, with subtle breaks and borrows, are designed to entice golfers into going for the pin. Cleverly crafted approach and run-off areas, however, demand your concentration and short game skills.
