Harbour Town Links
Par: 71
Length: 6973 yards
Course designer: Pete Dye
Venue: Verizon Heritage – PGA Tour
|
Harbour Town Links is home to the PGA Tour’s annual Verizon Heritage tournament and places a premium on finesse, imagination, and shot-making rather than strength. It has a collection of outstanding par-threes and a par-four 18th hole considered one of the most feared in all of golf, particularly when the wind is blowing off Calibogue Sound.
The course was designed by legendary architect Pete Dye and has attracted such greats of the game as Nicklaus, Palmer and Norman.
|
Heron Point
Par: 72
Length: 7103 yards
Course designer: Pete Dye
|
Heron Point has completed a multimillion-dollar reconstruction project in 2009. Fairways have been reshaped into dramatic angles and shifting elevations, while surfaces are a mixture of sand, mulch, limestone, and different grasses offering a kaleidoscope of appealing colour changes.
The course is the second Pete Dye creation at Sea Pines and offers a stern test to any golfer with its small, exacting greens, treacherous bunkers and abundance of trees and water hazards.

Sea Pines - Ocean Course
Par: 72
Length: 6906 yards
Course designer: Mark McCumber
|
As the first course built on Hilton Head Island, the Ocean Course at The Sea Pines Resort embraces the true coastal golf experience. Rebuilt in 1995 by former PGA Tour player Mark McCumber, this scenic course poses delightful challenges to novices and veterans alike. Put your game to the test against a classic design, featuring strategically placed lagoons and bunkers. Signature hole is the breathtaking oceanfront 15th.

Palmetto Dunes - Fazio
Par: 70
Length: 6534 yards
Course designer: George Fazio
|
Many golfers regard the George Fazio Course at Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort as the most challenging golf course in Hilton Head, SC.
Designed by one of America's most revered golf architects, the George Fazio Course is ranked among the nation's top 100 courses.
The Fazio golf course demands a combination of long play and precise golf shots. From the 432-yard 1st hole to the 462-yard 18th hole, the Fazio course is the only par-70 golf course on Hilton Head Island. Its long par-4s are beset with bunkers and water hazards.
Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort upgraded the grass on the award-winning George Fazio Golf Course in March 2010. The TifDwarf Bermudagrass was replaced with a more shade-tolerant, state-of-the-art Diamond Zoysia grass, which promotes superior and consistent year-round playing conditions for golfers.

Palmetto Dunes – Trent Jones
Par: 72
Length: 6570 yards
Course designer: Robert Trent Jones & Roger Rulewich
|
Readers of Golfweek magazine consider the Robert Trent Jones Course at Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort to be one of the best golf courses in the Southeast.
The course at this Hilton Head golf resort was extensively renovated in 2002. The renovation work, led by longtime Jones protégé Roger Rulewich, involved reshaping and restructuring tees, greens and bunkers. Fairways were elevated and reshaped, and the course's natural drainage was improved by linking it with the golf resort's unique, 11-mile lagoon system.
Today, the lagoon system winds its way through 11 of the golf course's 18 holes. When the renovation was completed, the Jones Oceanfront Course was named the 2003 Golf Course of the Year by the South Carolina Golf Course Owners Association.
The signature hole of the Hilton Head golf course, the par-five 10th, offers a spectacular view of the ocean. In fact, it's one of only two oceanfront holes on all of Hilton Head Island.

Course designer: Gary Player
|
Hilton Head National incorporates many of Gary Player’s philosophies on golf course layout. Gary stresses that while golf courses should be challenging, they should not punish unduly.
