Puente Romano Beach Resort, member of The Leading Hotels of the World, is situated on the southern coast of Spain in the Costa del Sol within the magnificent “Golden Mile”, a luxurious residential area between Marbella and Puerto Banus, just 35 minutes’ drive from Málaga Airport.

The social focus of the Resort is the Roman Bridge (Puente Romano) from which the Resort takes its name. This bridge from the first century is a remaining structure of the ancient road that once linked Cadiz with Rome, the Via Augusta.

Suite: A unique concept of lounge has transformed Suite into one of Marbella's best clubs. UNI takes its name from the Japanese word for sea urchin, a Japanese delicacy. It is a restaurant, of Peruvian and Japanese fusion cuisine, Nikkei. Thai Gallery This is the place for Thai food lovers. The relaxing restaurant and its menu have been designed to enjoy a mouth-watering authentic Thai food, where you can try delights as Tom yam & Tom kha Thai soup, Red Curry Duck or Spaghetti Keow Waan Gai. Open: Dinner.

Rachel’s Is the latest showpiece offering health and wellbeing in Puente Romano Beach Resort. A restaurant with a unique concept where one can enjoy a menu of 100% ecological products, Yoga and Pilates in the designated studio and beauty treatment and massages in the specially designed rooms. Dani Garcia The two Michelin Star dining concept surprises enthusiast with an amazing gastronomic restaurant where the most traditional andalusian receipes are redifined with new textures, flavours in contrast and hot&cold opposites. Open: lunch and dinner.

BiBo by Dani Garc’a The chef has created BiBo, an andalusian bistro & tapas where guests will enjoy a wide range of the most creative tapas. Open: lunch and dinner.

Leisure Facilities

Tennis The Tennis & Fitness Club features ten courts (two hard and eight clay courts), together with a main court capable of seating over 2.000 spectators. It also features four paddle courts. Launched by Bjorn Borg and developed by Manolo Santana, the club has played host to international tournaments and concerts.

Tennis and Paddle Pros are available for members and hotel residents, for beginners to most advanced players.

Fitness The Resort offers a large state-of-the-art Fitness Center, with TechnoGym equipment, an aerobics classroom, a spinning classroom, a Pilates studio a Pro Shop, massage rooms, Turkish baths and saunas (for him and her). Regular courses are offered in aerobics, Yoga, spinning, and more for members and hotel residents.

Personal trainer lessons are available on request.

Golf Puente Romano Beach Resort & S, owns two golf courses, the Marbella Club Golf Resort and El Higueral Golf Club; both situated only 20 minutes’ drive from the hotel, in the remote natural surroundings of Benahavis. Players may enjoy a nice walk in the hills with spectacular views of the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea. The golf club, designed by Dave Thomas, offers privileges to resort guests, enjoying complimentary green fees, and priority for making reservations and guarantee best tee-off-times.

Swimming Pools There are three open-air, landscaped swimming pools, located in the resort´s gardens and at the Beach Club. There is also a children’s pool, which is open during the summer season.

Water-sports are offered in season at the left side beachfront. Select from jet-ski, kayak, water-skiing, parasailing, catamaran, and windsurfing and motorboat excursions. The season is approximately from mid-April through to October, from 11h00 to 18h00 daily. In season, sun loungers together with bar service, are available at the Puente Romano beach.

Horseback Riding The Equestrian Center offers lessons and daily excursions with guides. Instructors are available upon request.

Local Area

Marbella is a well-known sun destination: long sandy beaches, whitewashed buildings, narrow pedestrian shopping streets, wonderful flower filled plazas, and quaint churches and exciting nightlife.

Puerto Banús is located only 3 km from the hotel, and is one of Marbella's most famous attractions, housing some of the most attractive and luxurious boats in the world. As night falls, Puerto Banús becomes one of the area's most attractive night hot spots offering a wide range of choices in meeting all discerning needs: bars, restaurants, outdoor cafés and discotheques. Puente Romano’s signature restaurant is considered by many to be the finest dining experience in Marbella and is often frequented by the local “ Gliteratti”.

Roberto’s: A discerning menu of Italian / Mediterranean fare with freshly prepared pasta dishes a specialty. The gourmet food is complemented by sweeping scenic views of the sea from a beach-top setting, while live music and excellent service create a vibrant and welcoming ambience.

More informal dining can be found at Café El Puente and the Beach Club Buffet, both of which serve excellent Mediterranean cuisine.

SIX SENSES SPA MARBELLA

Taking the cue from Six Senses’ philosophy, combing indigenous features such as whitewashed walls and hand painted tiles together with natural stone and locally sourced materials. Situated over two floors with stunning ocean views, the spa offers guests a haven for relaxation and rejuvenation.

Families

Kid´s Club

Kid´s Club Programs include games, painting and crafts. Private lessons are also arranged vin the nearby pool or take part of the Kid´s Tenis and Kid´s Padel courses at the Hotel's Tennis Club. Walk on the beach to find shells are another one of the many activities offered in our Club.

Hours The Club opens the months of July and August from 10.00 to 18.00. Additionally it is open during the UK Half Term periods and Easter. The Club allows kids from 4 to 10; babies from 1 are welcome to enjoy the facilities, always accompanied by an adult, during the summer season.

Marbella Club Golf Resort

Finca Cortesín Golf Course

Par: 72 Length: 6800m Course designer: Cabell B. Robinson Venue: Volvo World Matchplay

Finca Cortesín was created as the new home for the European Tour’s Volvo Wold Matchplay Championship (previously held annually at Wentworth) from 2009. Its 70 rolling acres were expressly designed and landscaped so that residential areas remain virtually hidden to players leaving you to view the beauty of the course. Undulating fairways, spectacular water hazards and elevated tees combine to the make this a dramatic but fair test of golf.

Flamingos Golf

Par: 71 Length: 5883m Course designer: Antonio Garrido Venue: European Seniors Matchplay Championship

Los Flamingos Golf Club is situated in one of the most beautiful settings around Marbella and generally considered one of the best courses to play. Players can enjoy the magnificent views of the Mediterranean, of Africa and of Gibraltar from every one of its 18 holes. Each of the holes on the course is defined by its own trees. The most demanding golfer will find himself among cypress, orange, olive, pine, carob, chestnut and pomegranate trees.

Santana

Par: 72 Length: 6203m Course designer: Cabell B. Robinson

A spectacular parkland course, and rated as one of the very best on the Costa del Sol, Santana is a demanding challenge to look forward to again and again. Water plays an important role during the round, although not dominating the overall design. Buggy paths are beautifully integrated between the rows of trees which include avocado, eucalyptus, orange, lemon, cactus, pines, fig, cork, olive and mango. A spectacular parkland course, and rated as one of the very best on the Costa del Sol, Santana is a demanding challenge to look forward to again and again. Water plays an important role during the round, although not dominating the overall design. Buggy paths are beautifully integrated between the rows of trees which include avocado, eucalyptus, orange, lemon, cactus, pines, fig, cork, olive and mango. Spectacular views of the Mijas Mountains add to the beauty of this Cabell Robinson layout.

Sotogrande

Par: 72 Length: 6203m Course designer: Robert Trent Jones Sr Venue: Spanish Open, European Tour Q School

Sotogrande was founded in 1964 and is located on prime golfing land close to the beachfront between the river Guadiaro and Sotogrande marina. It is regularly voted in the top 10 courses in Europe. This testing layout from legendary designer Robert Trent Jones features lakes, fast greens, white crushed marble bunkers and a frequently testing wind. There are Bermuda grass fairways while the greens feature typical Trent Jones contours. Mature vegetation with pine, cork oaks, eucalyptus and giant palm trees add to the natural beauty of the surroundings. Many top events have been played at Sotogrande with the great Seve Ballesteros clinching the Spanish PGA here in 1987.

Valderrama

Par: 71 Length: 6234m Course designer: Robert Trent Jones Snr Venue: Ryder Cup

Home to the 1997 Ryder Cup and host in November '99 to the World Golf Championships, Valderrama is rated as Europe's No 1 course, and is one of its toughest challenges. Immaculate fairways, notoriously difficult par 5s, super fast greens, everything about this course is stunning. Only a lucky few manage to feel its lush fairways underfoot, as access is very restricted and exclusive.
