UNA Poggio dei Medici is a country Tuscan hotel and golf club in the green Mugello valley, near the medieval village of Scarperia, in the Florence hills.

The hotel offers 70 spacious rooms set in a restored old farmhouse facing the prestigious 18-hole golf course, a restaurant for 170 guests, elegant meeting rooms, fitness and wellness center, beautiful outdoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi.

Available on request, also the magnificent Villa di Cignano dating back to XVII century with spacious garden suitable for banquets and ceremonies up to 100 people.

Ascot Golf packages allow for Unlimited Golf at Poggio dei Medici – one of Italy’s finest golf courses, and Half Board with a choice of lunch or dinner each day.

Transfers are available on request from Florence Airport (30 minutes), Pisa or Bologna Airport (90 minutes).

Bar/Dining

UNA RESTAURANT The UNA Restaurant serves Tuscan specialties and dishes from the Mugello area, with freshly made pasta and local ingredients. The restaurant is in the main part of the resort and has an adjoining outdoor terrace with a view of the lake of Cignano and the practice field.

Tuscan cuisine makes use of simple and genuine ingredients such as bread, olive oil, vegetables, meat from local farms and home made pasta.

Start your day with a breakfast full of fresh, local, healthy and of high quality products. The buffet offers a healthy breakfast as in Italian style with jams, croissants and cakes as in international style with eggs, bacon and sausage. Coffee choice (espresso, American coffee, cappuccino), tea, juice and milk. Wide selection of fresh fruit. Cereals, wheat meal bread. Gluten-free products. All our products are of major food brands.

UNA CAFÉ Situated in the main body of the building, in summer it is spread out to the terrace with a view of the lake of Cignano. Also known as Club House Bar, it is the meeting point for golfers to socialize and have a drink. An à la carte menu and hot dishes are available for lunch.

VILLA DI CIGNANO The sixteenth century Villa di Cignano, former hunting house for the Medici Family, with its garden is available, on request, for parties and wedding receptions. On sunny days it is possible to set-up tables on the patio and garden sitting up to 150 people. Inside the Villa two sitting rooms, called Camino and Lame, allow exclusive and private dinners for small groups.

Leisure Facilities

SWIMMING POOL Relax yourselves in the quite of nature. Feel the soft breeze brush your skin as you take a sip of your favorite drink by the pool side, with a spectacular view over the golf Poggio dei Medici. The 21x11 meters pool and the Jacuzzi with waterfalls pool are open from June to September. Hotel guests have free access to the pools, with bathing towels available at the pool deck, and provision of sun beds and umbrellas. The Pool Bar is opened every day for tasty snacks and refreshing drinks.

WELLNESS The SPA at UNA Hotels & Resorts offers a wide range of treatments focusing on wellness, relaxation and massage, aesthetic treatment for face and body, all tailor-made according to your needs. The Spa features three treatment rooms, locker rooms for men and women, Turkish Bath, and outdoor Jacuzzi and swimming pool. A welcome kit with hot/cold beverage, fresh fruit and magazine is available for the guests in the Relax room.

UNA Poggio dei Medici Golf Club offers a top quality golf course and a welcoming club house, nestled in the Mugello hills not far from Florence. Poggio dei Medici Golf has won many awards, including World Golf Awards "Italy's Best Golf Course 2016". The Golf Course, set in the Mugello valley, sheltered by Apennines, offers 5 different starting tees for an exciting game for all levels. Facilities include an extensive Driving Range complete with Pitching and Putting Greens, bunkers, 6 covered and 24 opened positions, PGA instructor available for private or team lessons. Poggio dei Medici has hosted the Ladies Italian Open from 1999 to 2003, and 3 European Challenge Tour Opens (2010, 2011 and 2013).
