Avo Micas Restaurant - The former dining room of the Santo da Serra Tea House is the current Avó Micas Restaurant. The restaurant has a breakfast service with home-made specialities and offers a food menu which includes traditional recipes.

Afternoon Tea - The sitting room, with traditional Madeiran pieces of furniture, is a relaxing space where, by the fireplace, afternoon tea is served with the famous home-made scones, cakes and jams and a selection of teas and coffees.

Severiano Ballesteros (2001) The Clube de Golf do Santo da Serra (27 holes) is ranked in the top 100 courses in Europe and has hosted Madeira’s most prestigious tournaments, including the Madeira Island Open, which has been part of the European Tour for the past 16 years, since 1993. The course was built in 1937. Robert Trent Jones Sr. redesigned the course in 1991, creating a true masterpiece on a par with his other fabulous creations, which include Valderrama and Spyglass Hill of Pebble Beach. Santo da Serra Golf course has been described by golf journalists as one of the most scenic on the European Tour. Santo de Serra winds through a botanical garden and up the slopes of the mountains to 1,000ft above sea level, so it’s best enjoyed on a clear day when the views across Machico Bay are simply breathtaking. Facilities at Santo da Serra include a golf academy, driving range and chipping and putting green.

Palheiro Golf Course

Palheiro Golf is a beautiful layout with breathtaking views, fast undulating greens, well-placed bunkers and tight fairways that reward accurate play. The course winds around the Palheiro Estate which is famous for its pine forests, centennial trees, flowering shrubs and lush vegetation. Standout holes include the attractive 9th with its exotic trees and the spectacular par-five 18th where your elevated position in the fairway affords you views out to the Atlantic Ocean and tempts you to go for the heavily tree-lined green in two. Facilities include a six-hole academy course, chipping green with bunker, putting green and driving range.
