The state of Alberta is located in eastern Canada, with direct access internationally at Calgary Airport. The Resort towns of Canmore, Banff and Kananaskis offer a haven for sports and outdoor enthusiasts and provide a relaxed and holiday atmosphere to relax on the golf course, or later in the many bars and restaurants.
In winter, Alberta is a favourite ski destination, and previously hosted Winter Olympics in 1988. The five-star Delta Lodge at Kananaskis in the Rockies made it a perfect host for the 2002 G8 Summit.
The Alberta golf courses, available May-September, are spectacular and varied – the two golf courses in Kananaskis are set within a valley, surrounded by tall peaks and glacial rivers. Silver Tip and Stewart Creek are Canmore courses, with elevation changes and stunning views. Banff is the holiday capital of Alberta, with an impressive golf course at the Fairmont Banff Springs resort, while Greywolf is an hour’s drive south, but worth every mile!
