Celtic Manor - Twenty Ten
Par: 71
Length: 7493 yards
Course designer: European Golf Design
Venue: Ryder Cup 2010
|
“What you need for the Ryder Cup is drama, and they’ve done a great job with the design of the Twenty Ten course. There’s water, driveable par-fours and a fantastic finishing stretch.” - Ian Woosnam
The new Twenty Ten course at Celtic Manor features nine spectacular new holes that have been developed along the floor of the Usk Valley, as well as nine holes from the former Wentwood Hills Championship Course that have been extensively remodelled.
The course’s signature hole is the par-4 14th, which brings classic risk-and-reward dilemmas with lakes on both sides of the fairway.
“The whole place has exceeded my expectations. I was told it was going to be great, but it’s even better than I had anticipated.” - Butch Harmon

Celtic Manor - Roman Road
Par: 70
Length: 6600 yards
Course designer: Robert Trent Jones Snr

|
The Roman Road course at Celtic Manor has been ranked ‘the top inland course in Wales’ by Golf Monthly Magazine. The course, which was designed by legendary architect Robert Trent Jones Sr, features lush, rolling fairways leading up to large greens with expansive bunkers and water hazards adding to the challenge.
Roman Road overlooks the Severn Estuary with views across to Somerset and Devon and is named after the many Roman roads that criss-cross it.
As well as hosting the Wales Open from 2005 to 2007, Roman Road was the venue for the AllStar Cup which saw celebrities such as Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta Jones, Alice Cooper and MeatLoaf treading its fairways!

Celtic Manor - Montgomerie
Par: 69
Length: 6371 yards
Course designer: Colin Montgomerie
|
Ryder Cup hero Colin Montgomerie has created a dramatic course at Celtic Manor in this own image. The eight-time European No 1 has added deep pot bunkers to create a linksy look to this inland layout.
Spectacular views abound with dramatic tee shots over valleys and breathtaking downhill shots. Two long par fives, a number of short par fours and several testing par threes all add up to an exciting and rewarding challenge.
