Royal Villas The stunning three bedroom Royal Villas nestle in beautifully landscaped gardens and offer spacious open plan living. All bedrooms are fully air conditioned and en-suite. The master with a king size bed has it's own sitting area, while the twin and third double have enviable proportions.

The open plan living area opens to a private terrace and veranda. There are three options - with private pool and pool-deck, with plunge pool and garden or with garden space only.

Guests also have access to the infinity edge pool centrally located in the Royal Villa neighbourhood.

Bajan food has been shaped by influences from Britain, Portugal, Spain and West Africa and the island has a very strong food culture, so it’s no surprise that the dining options are impressive!

For lunch sample the Clubhouse Restaurant and in the evening the vibrant Rum Shak Bar and BBQ, the perfect place to get together with friends. Or, if you’d prefer to stay closer to home, simply arrange your own chef direct to your villa through Concierge and ask them to put together your favourite dish - we’ll even deliver the ingredients for you.

Clubhouse: The breath-taking view is the first thing that strikes you about the restaurant and bar at Royal Westmoreland Club House. Overlooking the immaculately manicured 9th green and fairway, with the glittering Caribbean Sea in the distance, it’s a perfect setting for lunch or drinks.

With its elegant colonial architecture and panoramic views, it's the perfect place to socialise or relax. The open-sided dining room makes the most of the views and has a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. The menu includes a range of delicious dishes created using the finest locally sourced ingredients and drawing inspiration from both Bajan and international cuisine.

Rum Shak: For a true taste of Barbados, visit the Rum Shak! Come evening there’s a lively atmosphere, making it a popular place to get together with friends and enjoy the island’s world-famous Barbados rum or some bar snacks. There is a great BBQ every Saturday night during peak season with steak, fish and chicken to sample alongside a selection of brightly coloured salads.

Mullins Beach Bar & Grill: There is lots to enjoy at Mullins Beach Bar & Grill including regular BBQs, music evenings and showcasing of live sporting events via one of two 60" flat screen televisions. All in all, this popular venue will pride itself on being a fantastic place to enjoy a bite to eat in a casual beach setting whilst enjoying authentic Bajan music as the sun goes down.

Private Chef Services: You’re welcome to cook your own food in your Royal Westmoreland villa but why not make your stay even more relaxing? Guest services can offer you either a cook or chef to hire. They’ll put your favourite dish together while you sip a beer, wine or cocktail and soak up the Caribbean trade winds and late evening sun on the balcony of your villa. Leisure Facilities

Residents at Royal Westmoreland are invited to experience Bajan beach life at Mullins Bay Beach Club, one of the finest beaches on the island. The powder soft sands, swaying palms and warm waters teeming with tropical fish are an irresistible combination. The Royal Westmoreland exclusive Beach Club offers a beachfront private deck, complimentary sun loungers, umbrellas and eucalyptus towels with beach service provided by the Mullins Beach Bar staff who will provide food and beverage service on the beach.

There’s simple and elegant all-day dining at Mullins Beach Bar. Add in plenty of water sports and a free shuttle service from the estate and you have a complete picture of luxurious Caribbean living.

The beach is renowned for the quality of the snorkelling and diving on offer, with the majestic turtles being a rather special attraction. Alternatively it’s an idyllic location in which to laze in the shade and appreciate the calming trade winds while sipping a cocktail.

Water Sport Activites Will you surf, swim or ski? Whichever you choose, the Caribbean Sea offers relaxing warm waters and fascinating tropical sea life.

Why not take a diving course? Visitors often describe the transformational experience of exploring our underwater world in Barbados, mesmerised by the vivid colours of the tropical Caribbean Sea. If you don’t want to go too far under water then try snorkelling and skim the top of our underwater oasis instead. You don’t have to go far out to see the turtles in the waters off Mullins beach.

For those that are looking for more speed, jet skis and kayaks are available for hire through vendors on the beach. The great reef breaks around the area also make Mullins beach a popular site for surfers.

If you’re looking for a more relaxed experience then a glass bottom boat or catamaran cruising around the island might be for you – or you could lie back and gently drift in a pedal boat for that restorative holiday feeling.

The Gym Located at the Sanctuary, the estate’s gym is for the exclusive use of Royal Westmoreland owners and guests. It is fully air conditioned and equipped with state-of-the-art cardio equipment and a selection of weight training machines as well as free weights.

There’s also a naturally heated salt water swimming pool and a Jacuzzi situated by the gym, so it’s perfect for those wanting to warm down after a hard session. Of course you’re welcome to enjoy a relaxing swim in the Caribbean sun without the gym workout too!

Tennis Courts Royal Westmoreland’s superb sand-based astro turf tennis courts are surrounded by lush tropical gardens and are floodlit at night. It’s a rather special place in which to enjoy and improve your game.

Professional coaching is available for residents. Innovative lesson programmes include stroke analysis and production, technique improvement, timing, endurance and stroke improvement, self-confidence development and discipline.

Royal Westmoreland golf is set in a lush tropical landscape, consistently rated as one of the top courses in the Caribbean. With subtle greens, ocean views from every hole, inviting halfway house and an amusing audience of resident monkeys, this course is well placed among the world’s best. Your Royal Westmoreland golf experience is further enhanced by a pro shop, driving range, practice greens, clubhouse, short game academy, club hire, shoe hire and changing rooms. Complete your round in the imposing yet elegant colonial style clubhouse where sundowners are the order of the day! Royal Westmoreland is also the place for a few lessons to sharpen your game and shave a shot or two off your next round. Director of Golf is Roger Beale who represented Barbados in the 2006 World Cup of Golf. As Canadian club pro champion in 2011 and Barbados national golf team coach in 2012, Roger certainly knows how to take your game to the next level!

Sandy Lane - The Country Club

Par: 72 Length: 7060 yards Course designer: Tom Fazio Venue: WGC - World Cup

The Country Club course at Sandy Lane was designed by renowned US architect Tom Fazio and hosted golf’s World Cup in 2006. Fazio has made excellent use of the rolling terrain to fashion a course of lush greens, five lakes and open fairways with angled slopes. Spectacular sea views and colourful native vegetation make this an attractive course comprised of 5 par threes, 8 par fours, and 5 par fives.

Sandy Lane - The Old Nine

Par: 36 Length: 3345 yards

Sandy Lane’s Old Nine of small greens and tight fairways meanders attractively through the resort’s colourful estate. At 3,345 yards, par 36, the Old Nine with its tree-lined fairways, is intimate but a real challenge to the golfing visitor.

Ape's Hill Golf Club

Par: 72 Length: 6680 yards Course designer: Chris Cole & Jeff Potts

A recent championship golf course addition to Barbados (opened 2009), Ape's Hill Club enjoys a prime location at almost 1000 feet above sea level on the West Coast. With lush grassland, coral stone quarries, wooded ravines and sparkling lakes, the course is very much in accord with its natural surroundings. Multiple tees, elevated to showcase the breathtaking west and east coast views, allow players of all capabilities equal opportunity for a satisfying game. As would be expected at a venue of such high aspirations, the course is maintained in immaculate condition. To quote the renowned publication Golf World: "Holes 11 to 14 provide an Amen Corner every bit as dramatic and invigorating as the one we all know in Georgia. These holes tiptoe over the brow of the island, disappear amongst jungle and rough coral outcrops, to provide the most sensational string of holes that can be found anywhere. It's that good!" With its superior service, Ape's Hill Club is establishing a new standard for excellence in the Caribbean. The golf course has also gained international recognition as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary for its environmental and wildlife preservation efforts, thus becoming one of only 2% of all golf courses to earn such certification. Although golf membership is reserved only for property owners at Ape's Hill Club, there are a limited amount of guest fees available for others to enjoy the course with preferential rates for guests at Crystal Cove, Tamarind and Colony Club through Ascot Golf. There are excellent practice facilities at Ape’s Hill, where high-quality practice balls stacked in pyramids, await your arrival on freshly cut lush paspalum grass. If you are travelling light, premium hire clubs and shoes are available upon request.
