Almenara Golf

Par: 72 Length: 6221m Course designer: Dave Thomas

Almenara golf course consists of 27 holes allowing you to enjoy up to three different 18-hole combinations, all with a par of 72. The fairways wander among exceptionally beautiful natural landscapes, featuring two large lakes surrounded by pine and cork oak trees. The course was designed by the renowned golfing innovator Dave Thomas and constitutes an impassioned challenge for even the most experienced golfers.

San Roque - Old

Par: 72 Length: 6494m Course designer: Dave Thomas Venue: European Tour - Q School

Designed by Dave Thomas with bunkers redesigned by Seve Ballesteros, San Roque is a long course with wide fairways and is divided clearly into two areas, one area being lined with mature cork oak trees and the other having water hazards as the main feature. The San Roque Old Course is rated amongst the finest in Europe.

La Reserva Golf Club

Par: 72 Length: 7400 yards Course designer: Cabell B. Robinson

La Reserva Club de Golf is a recent addition for golfers in this exclusive area of Costa del Sol, just a short drive from Almenara Resort, Sotogrande and Valderrama. La Reserva is located within two adjacent valleys. The Course is long but the fairways are wide so you can afford to open your shoulders with generous fairways. The greens are on the large size but it is one thing to be on the putting surface in regulation and another to avoid three putting when a long way from the pin position! Water features at half a dozen holes, but apart from one hole, it does not present itself as a frontal hazard. Both the inward and outward 9’s have par threes separated by long par fives. Notable holes on the front side include the 244-yard 6th with water pressurising the tee shot to the left of the green and the 205-yard 8th which is played downhill to a putting surface which also has water to the left and bunkers front right. On the back nine, the 180-yard 14th has only one bunker to the right of the green and the 159-yard 16th is played from an elevated tee to a tricky, shallow putting surface. La Reserva Golf Club is a very picturesque course which presents a challenge to all golfers, the perfect addition to your golf holiday.

Alcaidesa - Links

Par: 72 Length: 5866m Course designer: Peter Alliss & Clive Clark

Alcaidesa Links formed on gentle slopes is formed by gentle slopes descending towards the sea, finishing on a 2km long beautiful beach – which means that most of the holes are alongside the beach. The difficulty of the course lies mainly in the condition of the prevailing winds in the area. One of the special features of the course which most impresses visitors, is its spectacular view over the Mediterranean, Gibraltar and Africa.

Alcaidesa - Heathland

Par: 72 Length: 6373m Course designer: Dave Thomas

Alcaidesa Heathland offers a variety of natural scenery. The plateau area (holes 1 to 5, 17 and 18) is similar to a heathland, with wide fairways and outstanding views of the Mediterranean. The remainder of the course meanders along the valley and incorporates several water hazards.

San Roque - New

Par: 72 Length: 6626m Course designer: Perry Dye/Seve Ballasteros Venue: European Tour - Spanish Open

The New Course at San Roque, designed by Perry Dye and Seve Ballesteros, incorporates the contours of the San Roque hills, with excellent views of the surrounding countryside and the Mediterranean to the South. Fairways are designed to reward tactical and skilful drive placements. Water hazards guard four of the greens, and otherwise, the course is well defended by more than one hundred bunkers! Venue to the Andalucia Open de Espana in 2006, won by European Ryder Cup player Niclas Fasth, and also co-host to the European Tour Qualifying School annually.
