Ape's Hill Golf Club

A recent championship golf course addition to Barbados (opened 2009), Ape's Hill Club enjoys a prime location at almost 1000 feet above sea level on the West Coast. With lush grassland, coral stone quarries, wooded ravines and sparkling lakes, the course is very much in accord with its natural surroundings. Multiple tees, elevated to showcase the breathtaking west and east coast views, allow players of all capabilities equal opportunity for a satisfying game. As would be expected at a venue of such high aspirations, the course is maintained in immaculate condition. To quote the renowned publication Golf World: "Holes 11 to 14 provide an Amen Corner every bit as dramatic and invigorating as the one we all know in Georgia. These holes tiptoe over the brow of the island, disappear amongst jungle and rough coral outcrops, to provide the most sensational string of holes that can be found anywhere. It's that good!" With its superior service, Ape's Hill Club is establishing a new standard for excellence in the Caribbean. The golf course has also gained international recognition as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary for its environmental and wildlife preservation efforts, thus becoming one of only 2% of all golf courses to earn such certification. Although golf membership is reserved only for property owners at Ape's Hill Club, there are a limited amount of guest fees available for others to enjoy the course with preferential rates for guests at Crystal Cove, Tamarind and Colony Club through Ascot Golf. There are excellent practice facilities at Ape’s Hill, where high-quality practice balls stacked in pyramids, await your arrival on freshly cut lush paspalum grass. Sandy Lane - The Country Club

The Country Club course at Sandy Lane was designed by renowned US architect Tom Fazio and hosted golf’s World Cup in 2006. Fazio has made excellent use of the rolling terrain to fashion a course of lush greens, five lakes and open fairways with angled slopes. Spectacular sea views and colourful native vegetation make this an attractive course comprised of 5 par threes, 8 par fours, and 5 par fives.

Sandy Lane - The Old Nine

Par: 36 Length: 3345 yards

Sandy Lane’s Old Nine of small greens and tight fairways meanders attractively through the resort’s colourful estate. At 3,345 yards, par 36, the Old Nine with its tree-lined fairways, is intimate but a real challenge to the golfing visitor.

Royal Westmoreland Golf

Royal Westmoreland golf is set in a lush tropical landscape, consistently rated as one of the top courses in the Caribbean. Your Royal Westmoreland golf experience is further enhanced by a pro shop, driving range, practice greens, clubhouse, short game academy, club hire, shoe hire and changing rooms. Complete your round in the imposing yet elegant colonial style clubhouse where sundowners are the order of the day! Royal Westmoreland is also the place for a few lessons to sharpen your game and shave a shot or two off your next round. Director of Golf is Roger Beale who represented Barbados in the 2006 World Cup of Golf. As Canadian club pro champion in 2011 and Barbados national golf team coach in 2012, Roger certainly knows how to take your game to the next level!
