Delta Lodge Kananaskis - Boundary Ranch
Boundary Ranch, neighbour to Delta Lodge Kananaskis, offers a variety of trail rides to suit every guest. From the Lodgepole Loop, a scenic one-hour ride to The Adventure Ride, a full-day ride with trail lunch, there is something for everyone. You can combine a ride with a great barbeque lunch - a great way to experience Kananaskis Country! Lodgepole Loop (one hour) $31.50 A great introduction to Boundary's riding terrain travelling through wooded trails, past picturesque ponds with the Kananaskis Range towering against the blue Alberta skies. Ridge Ride (two hours) $52.50 This ride travels high above the valley to capture a breathtaking view of the entire Kananaskis area. Watch carefully as you wind your way down around the pond; you might catch a glimpse of the ranch's resident moose and her calf sunning themselves! Ridge and Meadows (three hours) $75.50 Take in the Ridge and then travel through beautiful tall pines winding your way up into some breathtaking meadow areas. Sightings of deer and elk are common on this trip. Trail Blazer (half day) $98.50 A combination of all the trails in the Backcountry surrounding the Ranch. Cowboy leaders call this one the mystery tour and pack a snack just in case it takes longer than the scheduled four hours! |
Westin Punta Cana Resort and Club - El Rancho
The stables at Casa de Campo are equipped for pony rides and polo. Scenic trails include a one-hour golf course ride, a two-hour trek through tropical trails by the Chavón River and a three-hour ride through sugarcane fields to the cane-cutter's village. Expert staff is on hand for lessons in English or Western-style riding, jumping, dressage and polo. Guests of Casa de Campo may also request instruction in grooming techniques, rodeo stunts or sign up for a hilarious game of donkey polo! For young children, rides are available on Anita, Juanito and Miguelito, the center’s three ponies. If you’re seeking the thrill of polo, the Casa de Campo facilities are among the best in the Caribbean. Consisting of three playing fields, one practice field and the largest string of polo ponies under a single brand in the world, there is no place better to enjoy this rigorous and engaging sport. Equipment, group instruction and personalized training are available for beginners and medium-goal players. Guests may hire ponies for stick and ball tournaments and families can compete against each other in matches held each week. Regular polo matches are played throughout the week during the season, which begins in early November and ends in April. Please note: long pants and closed shoes are required to ride at the center. Children must be over seven-years old or have prior riding experience. |

Equestrians of all levels are welcome to ride through the Half Moon (Montego Bay) Nature Reserve or along bridle paths that wind through the hills and valleys. With 28 carefully selected and groomed mounts, experienced trail masters, a Polo Arena and Jumping Arena, Rocky Point Stables, Half Moon offers one of the finest equestrian experiences in the Caribbean. Clip-clopping along at a gentle walking pace, this is the finest way to explore the huge estate, breathe in fresh air, relax into the moment and experience life from a new perspective. Even for the complete beginner, there’s no feeling of freedom quite like the adventure of being in the saddle. Equestrian at Coworth Park is home to a selection of beautifully bred and well schooled horses and ponies - Purpose built American barn stables for up to 40 horses. Access to 240 acres of beautiful grounds for hacking. Grass arena for dressage and show jumping. All weather oval canter track. Riding lessons: Beautifully bred, well trained and immaculately presented horses are available for all abilities to ride across our 240 acre private estate. There is no end of opportunity to explore the beautiful Berkshire countryside from the unmistakable viewpoint of being on horseback. For those wishing to improve their riding ability further, we offer one-to-one or group lessons in basic riding, dressage and jumping on your own horses or on our selection of well-trained schoolmaster horses and ponies. Children & Ponies As well as an exciting way to explore, horse riding also adds fun variety to your exercise routine. It’s great for balance, posture, coordination – and gives your mind a complete break from its usual thinking patterns. Pony experience Coworth Park’s younger guests are invited to spend two fun hours at the stables. Here they will learn how to groom and care for their own special pony, tack up and go out for a fun riding lesson to suit their ability before taking home their own Coworth Park grooming kit bag filled with horsey goodies including a photo of them with their pony. This is one of our favourite activities as it’s always full of such happiness. Kids riding lessons and hacks Over sevens can enjoy a ride on one of our friendly ponies, selected carefully to fit their size and experience. They can choose what they wish to do, be it an hour’s hack across the estate or a 45-minute lesson in basic riding, jumping or dressage. We want it to be an hour of utter fun so like to leave it up to you to choose how it’s spent. Lead rein lessons and hacks: Riders from four years old can saddle up for half an hour on a perfectly prepared pony to learn the basics of riding and get to grips with the essentials of horsemanship. During their session they will be given one-to-one instruction from our experienced trainers. Feel free to take photos of the lovely scene! Teenagers & Adults We’re fully kitted up to get you ready to ride. There’s nothing you need except trousers and excitement! You’re about to ride through a wildflower meadow and across green fields with amazing views of the gorgeous Mansion House. This is going to be something you’ll never forget. Riding lessons We offer lessons on our experienced and well-trained horses and ponies in all disciplines and are very much the best teachers for any rider wishing to learn. Our expert instructors will offer guidance and tuition throughout the session to ensure every client gets the most out of this rare opportunity to ride such kind and knowledgeable horses. All aspects from jumping to dressage can be covered, and your instructor will tailor each lesson to your needs.

Gain an insight into the world of modern polo including its rich history, a thorough engagement with the fundamentals of polo riding, and a fun and pro-active exercise in polo practice from a sporting perspective. The half day experience includes further polo riding practice. All lessons include access to Guards Polo Club on the day. Polo fixtures Guests staying at Coworth Park are able to attend a full schedule of open polo fixtures, such as the influential Indian Empire Shield and the Audi Polo Challenge. Meet the team The academy is managed by Ebe Sievwright and Philip Meadows, each contributing over two decades’ worth of experience in polo instruction and management. Ebe has played polo for over 25 years. He has played with the renowned high-goal Black Bears team and with many other professional teams in the USA, Argentina and the UK. Ebe has created a unique coaching programme aimed at teaching everyone, including beginners, to ride and play with a view to eventually participating in all levels of polo both amateur and professional. Phil Meadows, also a player with over 15 years’ experience, is an established figure in the world of polo management and tuition. As well as owning and caring for a carefully developed string of polo ponies, Phil pioneered instructional programmes in windsurfing, mountain biking and snowboarding and is ground-breaking in the art of sports training. The Sheen Falls Estate is a playground for horse-riding, with a winding trek by the 'Sheen River' climbing up into the surrounding hills and descending to meet its sister river 'The Roughty'. The route meanders to the source of the Kenmare Bay, overlooking the estuary, where many varieties of birds, swan and geese can be found in their natural habitat. Treks can be tailor made to suit your requirements, ranging from 1hr 15mins for the less experienced to 2 hour treks for the more advanced rider. All necessary equipment and instruction is available. The Mount Juliet Estate has always been synonymous with horses and provides an exhilarating experience for equestrians. The Mount Juliet Equestrian Centre is one of the most impressive equestrian centres in the country. With two arenas including one International size arena, an American style barn, an exhilarating cross-country course, 18 miles of bridleways, a new set of show-jumps and a new stock of ponies and horses, Mount Juliet offers the rider the best possible experience in all types of riding. Also within the boundaries of the estate is Ballylinch Stud, where the McCalmont family, bred many world famous racing horses including The Tetrarch, once known as "the fastest horse in the history of the turf". The breeding tradition continues today, and hotels guests are invited to enjoy a personal tour of the stud during their stay. Instruction: Tuition is provided for all levels, from horse riding novice to the improving intermediate to the experienced rider. All equestrian visitors can expect to work on all elements including basic to advanced flatwork and show-jumping. On arrival at the equestrian centre each rider’s ability is assessed and a programme is then tailored to suit individual requirements. Not only do you learn and improve your horse riding skills, it is also a great opportunity to meet other people who share your interest and love of horses. The centre’s ponies are perfect for children whether they are starting out or already experienced riders. Expert tuition is provided to help improve skills and facilities available offer great opportunity to have fun. Masterclass: Mount Juliet hosts an exciting range of equestrian masterclasses designed to cover many different aspects of horse-riding from show-jumping to hunting. For example ‘Confidence Building in Jumping’ is a three day course that will be run regularly through-out the year which aims to develop the riders jumping position. Riders will gain confidence as they school the basics with the use of trotting poles and work a course of fences and progress out onto our cross-country course schooling facility. The cross-country jumping clinic will help riders on their position and balance schooling over a variety of cross-country fences improving their ‘eye’ and recognizing and correcting common faults. The 3 day hunting course which is held regularly in the hunting season – October to February allows the rider to take part in two days pre-hunting training with riding on Mount Juliet estate with instruction on jumping and cross-country followed by 1 day hunting. Other masterclasses that are planned to take place at Mount Juliet include side-saddle, dressage, stable management, confidence building in all disciplines, developing a deeper seat and carriage driving.
